Correct me if I’m wrong about this being an SR spec AE85, but its definitely a nice site on the eyes. With how many have been brought into the country pre drifted or have been built or modified over the years, seeing a totally standard example of the Japanese AE85/86 is always going to be good.
This picture shows just how nice a 300 zed ex can be when its done right. Some delicious Desmond WiseSports sitting correct and a simple exterior is all you need in the looks department!

I’ve always kept an eye on these two cars, two of the nicest AE86’s rolling around the streets of Waterford back when everyone was deep in the fast and furious Max Power world. These cars have been with the owners for years. I decided to feature both cars together fresh out of a restoration. Both owners went completely different directions so it a fascinating story. If you’re wondering why we’ve called this thunder vs. lightning, well because Trueno translates into thunder, and Levin loosely translates into lightning.
This picture above certainly doesn’t look like its in our country, the same story can be said for the car. Ireland isn’t the greatest country to have your car kept in immaculate condition all the time but Dariusz was built an exception. Hes one of a few who could pull off a car like this and fool anyone into thinking it was somewhere in the U.S. This is because the attention to detail on this car was amazing. There isn’t a whole lot of Da’s on our roads anymore, and on top of that there isn’t too many DA6 xsi’s on the road either. So it was amazing to see someone transform an average looking JDM DA6 into what was in the picture above. Now me and you could look at this photo and say wow, that car is amazing. Its good just the way it is, but Dariusz had planned to go much further.

It’s a nice feeling to know you have genuine interest Japanese cars. Just as we were starting to shoot this EF9 a couple of important looking suits came out started gawking in the drain next to this car. It made me laugh, they paid no attention to the car whatsoever, and it didn’t even faze them. A pretty funny moment and a small epiphany about how much of a different view someone can have on a certain inanimate object as opposed to the next man.
Everyday for at least two years I walked past this shining pearl. It lived right around the corner from me. Over the years around where I live there has been some really good cars. The first jzx100 I ever laid eyes on lived across from the local shop. A metallic navy sileighty on Te37s slammed, right on the way to college. These were some serious cars hiding amongst the normal streets. These were times before anyone was really even importing cars from the rising sun. One day when I was coming home this shiny new Silvia appeared. I thought it was here for a visit but then each day it was there in the same place when I was coming home. The Silvia would lurk in between Ibiza’s, Cordoba’s, Polo’s, Daewoo’s, the usual suburban family wagons parked one after another from one end of the street to the next.
We are going to try and cover everything that’s going on in Ireland on the site. If its a competition like Pro drift that some people may hate or a Honda meet that others might not enjoy, were going to try and cater for everything because why not? If its a decent car or something interesting it deserves some credit. A thing we are going to start on Juicebox is car park check, we are going to go to events and go and scower the car park to see whats going on in Ireland, usually there are a few gems lurking in the car park and a few not so gems, Today were going to start this with the Fermoy car park at Prodrift round 1. Some pictures from the event will be coming tomorrow. I know this is a little late but the site was being built when we went to cover it. We have coverage from a few events which went on while the site was under construction so bear with us as we try top get up to speed over the next week. Alot of you may have seen jackies eg6sir/dc2 front conversion, and how well done it was compared to many. He has decided to take it a step further which by all means is a good thing. Im going to try and get as many updates or pics of this if i can as it goes on. Getting pictures from people is hard haha. Heres what i got so far and its looking tasty.
