We get the AE86 shell back from blasting and it turns out the rust is a little worse than we expected. Not to fear, a new character enters the series…
We take a visit to an AE86 parts graveyard to pick up some parts for the Trueno, we also check out a very unique collection of old-school Toyotas locked up in some sheds.
Aidan is the sort of guy that just always lands on his feet. He somehow has a knack for finding exactly what he is looking for in the most unassuming of places. The story of this S14 is no different.
In this episode, we figured it would be the right time to explain my love for the AE86 and I sit Reuben down to give an explanation for the shed. A bit of a gift for reaching the 50k subscriber mark.
We drop the Trueno down to Ace Motorfactors to get the shell media blasted and show you some of the interesting machinery the owner has collected over the years.
In the final AE86 Trueno teardown video, we remove the back axle, strip the front subframe, the guys pitch in to remove the windscreen and I almost lose my mind grinding old stone guard off of the shell before sandblasting.
The AE86 loses more of its parts, almost being stripped of everything but the shell.
Things get a little “serious” with the Trueno, we finally start tearing it apart to get it ready for sandblasting, and as usual, we make things awkward. Enjoy…
Ok so this is the very final drive for the AE86 before it gets pulled apart but just before the big tear down we take two cars from the sheds out a photo shoot….
The AE86 gets its final drive before being torn down for some much-needed restoration, we also take a look at our friend Rob’s import business.
The AE86 gets gutted inside as we try to challenge the final Spiders before the big tear down…
Things get serious on the AE86, we start pulling the interior out to challenge the final Spiders, our French friends arrive for some skids and fireworks and we make some limited Spidey Cunts stickers!
Progress on the AE86: We start stripping the Truenos sound deadening and remove the cage. It’s not long before we are distracted by an upcoming drift event at a local racetrack.
