The Most Unique AE86 Shop in the World: Noby Booth
Although we had been to 86 festival, there was a couple of shops along the trip that I had to visit, one of them being Noby Booth. The shop has been going strong since the late eighties. It reminds us of Japans golden era for cars; its storefront has frozen in time.
As we got closer, that iconic big logo out front caught our eye. Next was the owners Trueno sitting outside on SSR Longchamps. The Trueno has a beautiful white silhouette complemented by Noby Booths very own rear spoiler, which looks like a more aggressive TRD wing.
I had never seen the inside of the shop before. We were in for a real treat. The interior design of this place was like nothing we had ever seen before.

I loved every second of this visit. The owner has been in business for over thirty years, supplying the local area with all sorts of AE86 parts. He adds a theme to the interior to match the seasons. When we arrived, the interior had a beach theme, pineapples, Hawaiian shirts, all sorts of funky items surrounded the best AE86 parts.
Talk about unique! I don’t think you’ll find a similar shop anywhere else in the world catering for AE86 parts.! Not only did it have the rarest and most fascinating pieces casually spread out like this was some food shop from the 80s, but the walls also had pictures of Team Mouse, Hibino, Ueo and more. There was memorabilia everywhere. It almost felt like a museum as well as a place to buy parts. The owner was super chilled and let us snap photos and shoot our video; I’m sure he has seen it all over the last thirty or so years.
He laughed at our excitement of the shop; it took a good twenty minutes to process all the little bits and bobs dressed in funky outfits. This shop is the reason why I love Japan, only here would you see such a scene!
There was brand new exhausts, gromets, suspension, rare OEM sticker replacements, rubbers for the door, brand new lights, everything you needed, with an added beach vibe, what a charming place.
I don’t think ill ever see anything like it again, and I’m so glad it still exists. We left nobby in such a good mood! What a place, a shop frozen in time, that’s why I love these cars, they bring you to the most unique of shops.

Nobby is in a small town not too far from Nagoya, which we were heading back to check out a few other bits,
We bought a few items, said our goodbyes and hit the road for Liberty walk.
