Photos Unboxed: Messing around before the teardown - Juiceboxforyou

I’ve been trying to document the whole process along the way Via photo, before the vlogs the site was all about still imagery and its a format many older car guys would get their kicks out of from the days of online forums.

Remember build threads? It seems like youtube and Instagram has replaced those old threads these days, the medium has changed. Sometimes I forget to take photos of the progress as we are so engrossed in what needs to be filmed.

Just before we started ripping the car apart, Bryan helped me fit a Goodline front bumper and his old bonnet to see what potential could be unlocked from this diamond in the rough. Seeing that bumper and bonnet combo created unimaginable amounts of joy. I’ve always lusted after the Goodline look.

I go back to this image and the one above every few weeks to remind myself just what could be coming if we stay on track.

The car had a bit of a starting gremlin, we wanted to get it running for one final trip around the business park before it was gutted. Duggie is working with two different looms here, as you may recall from the vlogs, an AE92 loom was hacked to work with the original AE86 loom.

An absolute shit show.

As cool as the AE92 engine setup is, it’s such a busy engine bay and I’ve always gravitated more to the NA setup.

50 shades of chaos, between the rubbed down colour on the door, the rust on the arches, the clean purple the skirt and the red burning through on the top of the wing, it’s a lot to look at.

Every Monday night we sit down and bust through as many orders as possible, it’s great to see all the comments from you guys. It’s a real shame we can’t reply back to the personal messages so we usually try to write something on the back of the stickers.

The two cars looked great together when we used to take care of Kevins 86. Having an inspiration car next to the Trueno was great motivation.

The pointless polished section on the rear quarter. NO, it didn’t work, not even slightly.

Hidden out of sight, Bryan’s pride and joy sits under a layer of fine dust. This car is one of the main reasons I’m in this mess.

I’ll have to shoot more photos of the shed and make mini-articles like this. The Vlogs are quite chaotic and fast-paced so these photos are a nice change of pace.

I’ll end this ramble with a nice rear end photo. This is another picture I look back on quite regularly. I’ve always loved the TRD wing and Redline rear tails and really can’t wait to have a refreshed version of this car with the very same silhouette, this picture is a serious slice of inspiration.
