Hidden Therapy: Anonymous Sheds
In these uncertain times, it’s hard to know what way things will go in the world. For some of us, getting out to the shed was the best way to switch off, get away from the world. Unfortunately, our “shed” is just a little too far for us to travel to at the moment, and it makes me realise how fortunate we are to have a place like to call our second home.
In these photos, two mates, one of these lads, is unfortunately not with us anymore but it’s this shed that brought this friendship together, a common interest and a place to hang out vent your problems and have the craic.
You might have a similar story to this one. You might be fortunate to have a space like this with your mates. There are sheds and garages identical to this one all over the world. A place where friendships are born and incredible cars get built, and friends keep each other in check. Sheds are cold and damp in the winter, and too hot in the summer!
Regardless of the climate, fantastic stuff comes out of these places, amazing friendships, long-lasting mates and life lessons. For the people that have a space to work on their cars with their mates, let’s not take it for granted once things get back to normal. Give it up for the sheds!
