Osaka Kanjo Catchup With Old Friends
After an exciting night in Osaka with Rob and his friends, we ventured out to the wilderness to meet with an old friend, Alex from Circuit Soul. He had moved to the countryside outside of Osaka, and we would get breakfast with him and head to the central circuit as we had never been.
Our journey led us to a unique spot, a refurbished wild hotel that seemed to have been frozen in time, a sight that piqued our curiosity.
I don’t know the name of the town we stopped in for food, but it was a pleasurable, Authentic Japanese experience.
This looked very March-like.
These little models were so good.
I bought three of these for my mother, who was delighted with them.
Once again, we were grateful for Alex and his girlfriend’s presence. Their ability to translate and break the ice in unfamiliar situations was a blessing, making our journey a breeze, especially with the encounter between the old couple.
This was such a lovely experience.
Sadly, the central circuit was dead that day; nothing was happening.
It was still super cool to see the place.
A shop that wasn’t pretty close to Alex was Dog Fight Pro; I know I’ll sound like a broken record here, but it’s a place I have wanted to see for many years. Their cars and adverts were always in Hyperrev magazines, and a few of their parts had ended up with friends over the years,
Like the Kakimoto shop, the scene outside the Dog Fight was insane. It looked frozen in time.
They had cars everywhere, across the street was this warehouse it seemed like they owned the entire block.
This workshop looked out of place in the middle of the plains around central, but it was a typical scene for the Japanese countryside.
Everywhere you looked was something interesting to photograph.
What a scene! It is one of my favourite photos I’ve ever taken in Japan. This is like something you couldn’t imagine unless someone photographed it.
I love the old faded yellow and blue against the cars.
The best machinery is everywhere.
Alex’s little wild Jimny.
That night, we went to Osaka to meet old friends from the previous video series and see how they got on.
A few years had passed, and these guys were a little older. It was so cool to check in and see how everyone was doing. The cars had chanted slightly, and people had come and gone.
What a view; the Raybrig EK is insane. The livery on this car is truly a work of art.
Ren’s DC2 was also just as good, sporting some megaP1s at the time
We couldn’t get enough of this car.
Honda perfection.
I also loved this Puma machine, which is another Iconic livery.
After food, a few of their friends rolled up. It was excellent meeting all these younger guys who are still very into the scene.
As we said in the video, this could be the very last wave of this stuff out of Osaka, which is a shame, really. Either way, it’s great to know some of these guys are keeping the flame going.
It was nice to know that the Japanese Honda car scene’s heart is still beating with these guys. It was a pleasure to catch up, get food, and hang out. There was no racing this time, but it was probably for the best.
