A Perfect White EK4 SIR Civic
It would have been rude not to pull this out of the lad’s shed for a close-up, the killer with the trip to Paul and friends is the fact they had so many good-looking cars. I could have spent the week up there shooting everything. Regardless, I loved everything about this ek4, the colour, the OEM bits the wheels, everything worked perfectly. Enjoy these few up-close photos from that day of a very well-executed EK4 Civic SIR.
OEM strips retained where others would paint over or take them off, a Spoon Carbon rear wing, and matching mirrors, oem back black spats and a non-broken recess, it’s funny the things that get you excited as you get older!
DC5 Brembos tucked behind a 15×7 silver TE37 with chunky tires, a perfect combo of looks and performance.
I like the little telltale signs of what this car is used for, most of the little bits were made by the owner which is so good.
It’s been a while since I saw a factory EK4 Front Grill, most of these were long thrown away in favour of the Type R treatment.
The interior looks like a nice place to be, A Nardi, the original EK4 pattern door cards and Recaro seats,
A rebuilt B16 lurks under the bonnet with a Custom made Manifold, looking at this really makes me miss my EK4.
Really nice little Mugen and Spoon details compliment the build, the perfect blend of form and function. The exact replica which ticks all the boxes for a Honda build.
A few long lens shots to appreciate the car’s beauty, the EK Civic is probably my favourite body style of them all, with enough angles and shape that gets better every year it ages. This is Civic perfection, it’s well-used and has all the right bits and drives like a go-kart, what more could you want?
