A Corona Night
Some photos from the ultimate distraction night, when we got a call to see some action with an NZ-imported Corona on Star Sharks. This was happening near the shed, so we couldn’t resist the offer.
It’s hard to beat the look of an SSR/Colin Star shark; these little 13x8s fit this Toyota Corona perfectly
You might have seen this falling off and getting cooled down in a stream from our video from this night; it’s still hilarious thinking back.
We followed the cars down to a car park on the side of a mountain to watch them do a few Rings Lad.
Under the crisp summer night, they gave the cars a proper throw around; a few IS200s are essentially the AE86 of the next generation in Ireland, one of the very last rear-wheel drive somewhat affordable machines, an 86 and the Corona—an enjoyable treat for the eyes.
After a few hours, it was time to make my way home, a nice little end to a night of 86 progress. I figured this would be an excellent little post on its own, as it’s not something we see as much anymore.
