Sun-Kissed Beauty: A Lasting Tribute to Reuben’s Advan Liveried Laurel
This car is near and dear to the heart of its owner, Reuben. The last time we saw the Reuben mobile in this guise, he had just returned from a track day and, unfortunately, cracked a piston. But that didn’t stop him from bringing it out for a sun-kissed photoshoot. We shot these photos towards the tail end of our extended summer in Ireland, which stretched to late September. We took advantage of the evening and did our “final shoot” of the car in this livery and look.
Reuben hasn’t been around the car much in the past year, as he’s been focusing on his career and personal life. But it’s always great to reflect on these photos and reminisce about the things that excite us. This Laurel has been integral to Reuben’s life for the past five or six years and has been with him through thick and thin. From ice drifting on frozen lakes to high-speed skids at Gatebil and even driving it back from Sweden, this car has become one of his most incredible memory machines on four wheels.
Even more impressive is that Reuben achieved all this with a modest build and budget. It just goes to show that with a little bit of passion and determination, you can accomplish great things. As for what the future holds for the Reuben mobile, only time will tell. But I’m excited to see what he does with it when he finds the time, funds, and enthusiasm.
For now, I invite you to enjoy the rest of the photos from this shoot. The Reuben mobile sits on the P1 wheels from Buddyclub in this shoot, which complements the iconic Advan livery, I must say. What a timeless look!
