The J’s Racing CRX
These are a few shots from our video we did not too long ago; this was a night when Jackie asked if I wanted to get a sneak peek of probably the coolest honda to ever end up in Ireland. This is J’s racing CRX EF8 car which was in hot version and options video, famous for lightening quick speeds around Tsukuba it ended up in Ireland during our incredible import boom of the late 2000s
I thought this car had vanished into the history books, but it resurfaced a year ago, and Jackie was asked to paint it. Here it sat in his shed after being finished waiting for the owner, Barry Rabbit, to collect it. Since these photos, the car has gotten its original livery back, which is fantastic.
This thing has so much history and it’s one of those cars we were happy to see again. Hopefully, we can do a proper shoot again someday for any of our long-time readers; this was one of the very first famous cars we photographed for MIJ magazine and the website many moons ago. Good times!
