The Honda Accord Type R
A couple of shots with the Accord Type R, quite possibly the best bargain we ever got! This car, unfortunately, has been sitting in the corner of Flip’s shed for over a year. As I write this, Im drowning in AE86 progress, which is a good thing. Hopefully, we can get it on track this year, as I bet this would be heaps of fun, it needs some small bits like suspension and a clutch, and we managed to get some nice wheels to suit matched with decent tyres.
Ralph is not impressed! He knows that buying cheap cars like this is misery.
It’s crazy how good it looks exterior-wise; it’s not until you throw it up on the lift that you realise this thing is in bad shape.
A well-used H22 lurks under the bonnet; pretty cool that they offered this car with a factory tubular manifold.
It’s a little crusty, but it’s all there.
How about that genuine Ek9 wheel?
I love these things’ shape; it screams touring car 90s goodness.
The clickbait titles worked on the Youtube video, too, I was apprehensive about doing the thumbnail, but sadly that’s the age we live in; it probably was the cheapest type R in the world and probably will be for a long time to come.
Flip has had this Type R jacket for the entire duration of our friendship; he’s one of the main reasons I love the Vtec; ill leave this one here; I hope you enjoyed these lovely snaps of the future Type R accord track death trap.
