The Work Van
You have to enjoy people like Davy, people who can’t leave things alone, people that go near stuff and know only the right way to make it out the other side. Take his “work van” for example, I remember when he picked this up from Paddy McGrath and started tearing around in it. As vehicle Bodywork is his profession it wasn’t long before the van was stripped down, with plans already hatched.
Before you knew it a panel was ordered to remove the side door, the Ariel was deleted as well as anything else that didn’t work. Over 600 hours have gone into just the body work alone, because the van is by no means even near completion.
The colour is amazing, along with the body work, you could say it’s the perfect advertisement for Davy’s body shop, but I know that wasn’t the plan, it’s just the itch to go at something, and when you have a skill set like that why wouldn’t you. It parked at the end of my road every day, and in a sea of winter misery this shines like a diamond, Davy only knows one way of doing things, and people like that are somewhat rare.
The exterior just looks so smooth and simple. There is quite a lot in the pipeline for the Caddy Davy assured me. “Enough hours have gone into re assembling it, it’s time to drive it for a bit, because the van is the only mode of transport I have, and if it stays apart more money will vanish into that black hole”. I just can’t help but think it has to be the cleanest actual work van in the country.
Awesome!
