Event: Heatwave 2011 PT2
Like we were saying in part 1 it really seemed like the standard has suddenly rose for the quality of cars in the country at shows. Looking around you had a good variety of super clean interesting builds like this IS bagged on SSR Vienna’s. What an amazing car, its nice to see people go down the VIP route, something that hasn’t been explored to much yet in Ireland.
Inside the door lurked another Caldina GT, top marks for the wheel choice on this wagon also,t of binging Veilside Andrews. These wagons are awesome and it was so nice to see two at the show.
I’m sure many of you know this engine bay by now, a car that keeps on getting better is this T230 series Celica is by far one of the nicest in the country.
Damn it, I could look at this Celica all day!
Interesting wheel choice for an ST205, a set of Rotiform BLQ style wheels in gold.
Its a wheel style that’s getting quite popular on our shores, but who could complain when you see them under the arches of cars like this B7 Audi A4.
In the last two years Audi’s have really started to become quite as common as many of the Japanese cars especially the felt look, its nice to see someone break the mold like this example above slammed to the ground on a set of Rota Grid’s done right. What an evil looking car.
This 350z has all the right components to be even better then it already looked, it was sitting a little bit too high and in that black with those wheels this Datsun would look incredible if it was sitting that little bit Moar Low.
Holy shit comes to mind here! Too good.
One in the stinky two in the pinky!
Such a sick A3 Many of the euro guys really have the car fashion dialed….
Yes this is nice.
Heatwave 2004
This MK3 Capri was awesome, for got it so right back in 1978 in the UK.
The MK5 golf was on display in quite a few different styles. This black beast was sporting some BB LM’s with gold spokes and was definitely hitting the spot.
Or how about this one, loving the almost LA Lakers style theme with the purple and yellow.
This one was hitting the spot nicely sitting comfortably low on a set of Mam MT1′s. Yum
Behind the Golf was this beautiful little EG.From the colour to the orange indicators it all just worked.
I guess have to admit this Starlet was funky, it wouldn’t be my cup of Juice but it had that feeling like it belonged in an art museum.
This 300zx with the Veilside front looked like it came straight out of Tokyo Auto Salon 1997…. Crazy Filler and fabrication work, its crazy how quick things have changed.
Always nice to see Darren reinventing the Da6 we recently featured, be sure to check out MIJ this month where it made the cover.
Nice to see at least one AE111 on display, these have so much potential.
The VW Bug looks like a whole different car when its sitting on Bags and BBS.
The Eyelids almost make this thing look like its about to speak!
Tom from Titan’s Slammed and stanced JZX100 wearing some tasty CRKai’s from your friend Work. Check those back arches!
Outside in the car park there was plenty to watch if you needed a break from looking at cars… well not really. Martin Ffrenches old Altezza was killing tires faster then the guy on the bike could do rings, what an immense car.
I dare you not to smile at this!
Lots of girls doing what they do best but on stage is never a bad thing!
But because your so die hard about cars that all the photos we have of that. Instead you will have to switch off the lights and play with yourself to one of the Nicest E46’s in the country.
Check the bug eye we featured awhile back, now wearing some Work Equip replicas from Rota.
This s2000 was looking amazing, shame we couldn’t get any close but that Mugen front lip was good enough for now.
Minty freshness.
Its insane what a set of wheels can do to enhance the shape of a Leon.
Why hello there, the Mugen replica spoiler still looks awesome on this DC5.
This was one of the only EP3’s around on the day but it made up for all the ones that were a no show. These can look so good and this yellow example made me remember why.
I kept coming back for a second look to quite a few of the cars which were on display, the level really had risen on the floor of heatwave. This EP91 was on of those cars, the build is just insane.
Such an impressive car, by far one of the most amazing Glanza builds in Ireland. Nice to see the country continuing to raise the bar time and time again.
Cant wait to see what Japfest 2011 holds, be sure to check back for more features and coverage coming real soon.
