Meet: Dundrum Honda Meet 2010
This definitely was one of the better meets we’ve been to, it was a bit of a trip up from Waterford but we decided it would be worth it as word was quite a few people would show up and the fact that the new motorway makes it a simple drive.
Dayo and Jacky spent some fun time buffing and getting the cars nice and unIrish looking only to be hit by the typical Irish weather which was waiting for the cars right outside shed. When I snapped this picture the cars looked good but we decided to bring them outside in and take a few more snaps just in case all these efforts went to waste!
One horse Vs quite a few more horses tucked inside a B series haha, this made for a random picture as we did a mini shoot before the heading to the meet.
Jacky’s car always looks amazing. Its definitely one of the nicest Honda’s in Ireland. The intense amount of buffing and polishing seemed to have paid off. It was time to hit the road.
We didn’t make it in time for the first part of the meet outdoors so we decided to head straight to the Dundrum car park where everyone was to meet up. As we rolled down the ramps it was cool to see the turn out, from experience they usually result in about 15 cars showing and then usually about eight from that are decent. This time it wasn’t the case…
There was certainly a lot of decent Japanese metal on display.
The cars managed to avoid the harsh winter weather on the motorway which has come in on us so quick, Jackie’s car received the attention it always deserves as it rolled in. Expect a full feature on this car coming very soon.
It was good to see some tidy Ferio’s on display. A Honda that seems to be getting scarce as the years go on.
The same goes for the EF8, or any of the CRX’s for that matter looking good on some Enkei CPS2. Its always good to see one that’s well kept like this one above. Nice and simple.
Another clean Ferio.
I couldn’t get in at this EJ but it looked good rocking some Cr-kai’s in purple because after I went looking for a toilet and came back it was gone!
Another little Honda rocking the same wheels which always brings a smile to my face is this super clean EF9. The wheels just work and add to the clean look of the original body.
Yes please!
The scene is definitely coming along which is great. Even though the money seems to be drying up in our country along with jobs and all that jazz, its not stopping people from building clean cars with the right parts, a trend which hopefully is here to stay… Keep em coming!
You can never really argue with a clean Silver EK, with some nice rims its always going to work.
My hat definitely goes off to the owner of Flips old DC5, he swapped out the green rims for some Gold Advan Rg’s which really do set the car off in so many ways. Good job man they look perfect under the arches. I wanted to get a proper pic of the car but as I said before everyone just sort of suddenly left, which was a shame as I didn’t get enough pics or even get to make a video of the meet.
EK’s and mesh are always a good combo, combining old with new, Dunne and Neil’s EK’s looking good side by side.
Dunne has also swapped out the green Wolf race for some BBS RS’s. Hes missing a center cap but the car is W.I.P and constantly getting better. Stay tuned for more updates on this in the future!
Almost! hahaha
Same goes for Neil’s car which we had up on the site last week, it looked very nice indeed as always repping for JB.
This DC2 was amazing, I didn’t get a chance to get proper pictures as it left too soon but it was sitting on some ce28’s and had a genuine Mugen kit. The whole package just seemed to work and it stood out from the rest.
The car looked mint and it was a shame I didn’t get to see more of it, maybe sometime in the future…
This 98’spec was looking rather mint. Cant argue with a clean looking Integra.
This colour combo definitely works well, another example of a nice clean Hatch which showed up. Its definitely cool to see more and more of these being saved from the world of shams with 17’s!
“Ill take the cash and the respect, to some people that’s more important” Yep, this EK looked like it rolled straight out of Fast and the Furious. Not to worry, as usual PedoBear was on the case! Funny thing is that the green was working on the car and with the right look it could have really worked well like this for example.
Andy was also there from Tuning Factory. Dave had a hot Lady handing out copies of MIJ for everyone to enjoy. The way it should be haha! Good to see MIJ is back in full swing. You were missed!
Darren’s Da6 is arguably the nicest Integra in the Ireland, it always causes quite a stir when it rolls up, and then an even bigger stir when the engine bay is popped. The car is setting the stadard for Honda’s in terms of looks in this country. Good Job man. A full feature is coming real soon on this car also, be sure to stay tuned!!
Taylor is waving behind his little shit box (jokes). Now that he has his engine sorted at being one of the quickest N/A Honda’s on our shore’s, stay tuned to see this thing become on of the cleanest Honda’s also. Another W.I.P. which is going to be nothing short of awesome.
The last snap I managed to get was of this clean EK before everyone started to leave, it seemed to happen all to0 sudden. Thats why I dont have more photos to show. I was under the impression more people were on the way so as we waited around hoping more would show, everyone started to leave and then the lights went off! A shame as I had planned to make a decent video aswell as have a full feature. Shit happens I guess. All in all it was a decent night full of decent Honda’s and it was great to meet faces. Good job to the organizer’s and for everyone who showed up and that. Hopefully more people come to the next one as there is more than enough decent Honda’s in Ireland to make any of these meets worth while! Hope you enjoyed all that we could get of the event and hope to see you at the next one!
