Garage Life: That Green DA - Juiceboxforyou

This picture above certainly doesn’t look like its in our country, the same story can be said for the car. Ireland isn’t the greatest country to have your car kept in immaculate condition all the time but Dariusz was built an exception. Hes one of a few who could pull off a car like this and fool anyone into thinking it was somewhere in the U.S. This is because the attention to detail on this car was amazing.  There isn’t a whole lot of Da’s on our roads anymore, and on top of that there isn’t too many DA6 xsi’s on the road either. So it was amazing to see someone transform an average looking JDM DA6 into what was in the picture above. Now me and you could look at this photo and say wow, that car is amazing. Its good just the way it is, but Dariusz had planned to go much further.

The car had come a very long way from the picture above. It was amazing to see someone who had caught the Honda bug in a massive way and didn’t want it to stop! This DA was easily one of the nicest Hondas in the country, in my opinion the car was miles ahead of everyone with how clean and how proper it had been built. The first time I heard about the car was at a Honda meet, I was being informed by another DA owner about how amazing this car is to see in person, I finally got my chance to see it at Limerick and was blown away. I just couldn’t get over how amazing the build quality of the car was. The colour, the stance, the little things…. everything was working in a big way. Once I started talking to Dariusz I was delighted to hear he was into the site and I laughed when he told me the car was far from finished. I really wanted to get a chance to shoot the car, but we agreed we would hold off till the car was finished to his level. This made me laugh at how, serious he was about making the car absolutely proper. No corner cutting. He was going all out.

If you are into Honda’s or not you cant deny that this was one amazing example. This was definitely pushing the trends on our shores to a new level and would have easily went head to head with any DA on any shore around the world. Something many probably wont touch for a few years to come.

It must have been the worst feeling ever to come out your front door and see everything you have worked on go to this. Its shocking to see that someone could actually do this to a car, especially this one. Everything you have put your heart and soul into for the past few years has been taken away right there. Luckily parts could be saved, but its not worth it. The car definitely loses it personality when someone can go and feel nothing about torching such a niece piece of Japanese steel like this.

These images would make anybody with the slightest interest in cars sick, I could only imagine how Dariusz felt when he laid his eyes on the damage. Even though this is a car, anyone who has gone through putting this much work could probably think of it being almost alive. Like a friend, or a brother or a pet dog. It can seem like just a car to others but for someone to loose everything they worked for like that, it must have been horrible. Lucky that it was just the car, and not the owner. The only thing to do in a situation like that is look on the bright side, and start again. The car should have graced the pages of magazines, and website’s for all to see. But it didn’t quite go down that way in the end and I guess that’s just another part of life. Dariusz was down for Juicebox, and we will gladly put the car up here and give it a proper send off.

Even though his plan was never fully accomplished, and even though his car was torched, it will definitely never be forgotten in many people’s minds. It will always be remembered as one of the cleanest Honda’s or even car’s at that to ever be built in the country.

The pictures that have been taken are proof of this, and of the effort which went into creating such a car.

Hopefully, Dariusz can put his effort into something else, and give us all another epic car to drool over in the coming years! A event like this can definitely make you loose your faith in the whole idea of building another car, and make you loose your faith in people. For someone to do that to someones pride and joy is just beyond shocking, I guess this shows that there are actually people out there who just don’t give a shit about anything. Those people deserve to have a shit time all the time.

Please take a few minutes to watch the video above and to remember this car. Watch it for the effort and the time that went into it, and the love that was put behind the build of the car. Dariusz had the Honda bug, but I imagined that this bug died with the car, a sad story which I hate to show on the site, but it has to be done. Hopefully we can show more good things from him in the future, hes showed what could be done to that level, and I’m sure he can do it again and I bet everyone will be waiting…
