Event: Japfest Mondello 2010 PT1
The weather was sketchy, but it managed to hold off. Thankfully we didn’t have a repeat of last year. Which as you can remember was a bad time.
The bar was raised with some of the cars that were on show this year, there really is a lot of clean cars coming out of the woodwork and its definitely nice to see.
Some nice rear end’s were on show.
And the same could be said for front end’s. Delicious…
I couldn’t get enough of this Kanjo inspired EF9, with period correct graphics.
The same can be said for this super clean EF9, rocking some CR-KAI’s.
Keelan’s EG was looking mean with those front wheels popping out to the arches.
I’m sure people couldn’t get enough of Jamie’s four eyed DC2. Representing on the Casey’s yard stand.
A gold star if you can guess who owns this tasty engine bay.
Probably one of the nicest cars at the event was this FC3s.
What made it even better was possibly one of the nicest wheels ever made, the Panasport g7’s.
Liking the look of this clean looking ps13.
Seeing a G chassis with those wheels only wished it was sitting like this. It would be nice to see especially when the car is rocking a bunch ofย carbon and chargespeed exterior parts.
Clean and simple looking EM1 on some SSR replica Rota auto x wheels.
The rear of this 3 door hachi looked mean as fuck with that diffuser setup on the standard rear bumper. Shame I couldn’t get to do more on this car. It looks mean.
Really liked the look of this CL1 on those Mugen MF10 replica’s.
This T230 series celica has some serious stuff going on, It would be nice to know more about this car. It looked proper.
Key sticker placement!
This AE86 looked very nice sitting low on those XR4’s and some reverse mesh. Parked nose to nose with a beefy looking Roadster.
I’m not going to lie, I had an instant erection looking at this RA25, trying to hide that shit while I got closer to this was no easy challenge. Finally I got the chance to see one in real life.
And that didn’t disappoint at all. What an amazing looking car, and this was the perfect example of that.
What made this even better was the fact it was slammed on some period correct SSR MK2’s. Which are a perfect match. Good Job. Ill stop now.
Alan’s s14 came in handy to watch the track haha.
Clean EG rocking some Juicebox love!
Loving the look of this rps13 as always, sorry I wasn’t more talkative, I was completely battered tired, thanks for the support!
Cool colour on this 3door.
A little bit more work stance wise and this would be one of the nicest in the country, either way it just looked mean as fuck.
Clean EK with a very nice colour, on some Regamaster replicas, this thing looked very nice indeed.
A Vitz with some 1piece Enkei Racing-S was definitely cool indeed.
I really liked the wheel choice on this DC1, the Mugen MR5 really are a love hate wheel, but they suit this DC2 to the ground.
Steve’s big rear end, on the ER34 that is! Gotta love this car, and that Fatlace plate.
Jimmy up have such epic stickers.
This MK2 Jetta looked hard sitting with some proper stance, nice to see these done right and getting some proper love.
Dunne’s slammed EK was back together in time for the show and representing on the Honda Haven stand.
This thing was sitting very cool, and I have to admit that it looked cool on those BBS mesh replica’s. It was nice to see someone step away from the paddiflushed supershite EP70 trend. Id imagine this little EP would look even better without those lights upfront.
MARCH K10 SUPER TURBO!!!!!!!!!! These little cars are amazing! This one was so mint, and so standard. What a cool little car.
Loved this colour, and this DC2 on sitting clean on some Regamaster’s.
This Clean KE70 would look even better sitting on some Hayashi’s or some wats. Superlites are just too common.
Super clean tucked engine bay’s are becoming more popular, but who can complain about that?
I hate to say Moar Low again, but this is all this tasty ps13 needs to be a total winner.
This EK9 was hitting the spot. Those mesh BBS replicas looked amazing on this car.
Hahaha, this was good.
Wow, this car definitely looks like this guy drives it. The wheels look like ninja death stars. Crazy stuff.
This Fiat 126 was amazing! What a cool little car.
Dariusz’s car never seems to impress! Its definitly one of the cleanest Honda’s in the country.
The RX3’s engine bay never ever gets old. Its proper car porn.
Its the little things that all add up!
Good to see Taylor’s car getting some credit, a proper sleeper indeed.
The best BBQ ever!
This whole greeeeeeeeeeen thing is getting out of hand! Flips old car has been the newest victim!
This kouki fronted 14 was amazing.
The same can be said for this perfectly stanced s15, which was anything short of incredible looking.
A little bit more work in the stance department, and this would be on tasty looking s13, especially on those M2 Hanbai DT05R’s
Yum, some deep dish SSR Professor SP1’s always look good on an s-chassis.
Damn, it was a shame to see this Jap KE70 on supershites, some watanabes would have fit the bill just right on this car.
Ive got such a soft spot for these these KP61’s. This one is a perfect example of why, its so clean and simple on those SSR MK2’s.
When its done right, its looks the business.
This Hachi was nothing short of stunning. What a nice looking example. More to come on Japfest over the next day or so, make sure to stay check back for part 2, and the coverage of Prodrift round 4.
