Event: Sleef Fx Limerick 2010 (With added magic video)

This years Sleek Fx brought some new cars to display. Some good and some that would leave you scratching your head for days. The weather was that typical “is it going to rain? “weather. So all day we were waiting for it to pour but it managed to hold and everyone could enjoy being dry whilst checking out some drag racing and the cars.

Finally, a serious looking 4G. Didn’t get the full specs but even exterior wise this thing is a winner.

I was definitely feeling the look of this s-chassis.

The Peugeot vents and the front grill were questionable. Its like the car was feeling abit french for the day which isisnt really something for an s14. Still a cool looker otherwise.

Yeah… I don’t really have anything to say here. The wheelie ride was good?

Always liking this e30. Get some spacer action on them wheels Aidan and shut me up.

So nice to see an Fc. A car which you very seldom see on our roads. This one was rocking a shit load of goodies. Definitely would look to know more about this car.

Think this is an ej8 coupe. Either way it was so good to see a decent looking one. Not to many people can seem to get it right with coupes.

Sometimes a clean DC5 on ssr type c wheels is all you need exterior wise. These cars can hold their own pretty much stock.

I was slightly confused by this kp. It was almost as if it was turning Japanese but was halfway there? Take those light off, they do nothing for the car and let that little starlet be happy.

Speaking of Japanese, this KP was so damn nice. The ssr mk2’s is all this needed on the outside to be an instant winner. Good Job.

I thought that this year I could have got closer to the drag racing and cover that but sadly security though otherwise. So I dont have any decent drag racing pictures which is shit.
But you can make out Magoo’s special sponsor on the side of his Dc2 which says it all.

This e30 wasn’t so good. It would have been fine without the melted back bumper. The car is square so a bumper which looks like a Melted shoe isin’t really going to flow with such a square car. Pop that off and this would have been abit of a winner. I don’t think crazy roundy kits like that will ever work on square cars, they never did. He was already onto something with the replica work equip o2’s.

This st205 was hitting the spot anyways. Its so good to see one which is kept clean and doesn’t have big stupid wheels on it. The Wedsport sa90’s do the car justice.

Its the little things like that that are cool as fuck when they are left on cars that come here.

This EF9 was looking good. The Rota gt-3’s seem to be getting abit played out but there still looking good under this civic.

I still don’t understand this, or why anyone would do it.

Or this? with that tow bar!

And then on top of all of that….

Do this. I guess if that’s what cars are to that guy, have fun…

On the otherhand, this AE-86 was looking damn fine chilling on some delicious Advan Oni’s.

Dunne was back from the dead for one day only with his ek4.

This is a van.

That inch of tyre on each side is a bad time especially for a golf. If those weller steelies were fitting snug this would have been one cool little mk2.

Enda’s ferio was looking good.

How could this ever look bad?

This was looking clean.

This was Irish.

We could hear alot of screeching, but couldn’t figure out what it was…

As we got closer we could still hear alot of tire screeching and we could now see some smoke.

So we checked out what the “diffing” had to offer and decided to head back and check out some cars.

Inside it was just me freaking out about these genuine mf8’s under a cl1 accord.

Sad to see the decline of this team t50 AE-86. Which used to be this and was in this. Hopefully it doesn’t get any worse.

The only proper place these things look cool is in the Daikoku Futo car park in Toyko. In Limerick it just looked like a fish out of water because its just so intense.

This cool ep71 got my hopes up when I ventured over to the street legal stand but that soon changed.

1999 had landed. There was Veilside kits everywhere and Lambo doors and T.V screens.

I felt like I had stepped back in time. When this type of thing was everywhere.

When poor Supra’s had to endure the bouncy castle interior which when the sun hits the dash, you cant see the road.

When people thought that this type of thing was the business….. Oh how things have changed, and for the better.

Just when I thought the trip to the past was gone, We managed to spot the king of katanas. This car had everything.

A massive scoop for airflow to keep the cockpit cold.

And a huge wing for downforce. The colour was amazing. What a car.

I tried to run away but got stopped by this rear end. A filler frenzied Supra?

Nope it was just a poor st-chassis Celica which had been attacked by some filler.

This face lift nsx managed to save me so we decided to check out the Honda Haven stand.

Ross’s EF9 will never get old to look at. Think he managed to win a prize on the day for his super clean EF. There’s a full feature coming real soon on this.

Flips old Dc5 and EK9 were at the show! His DC5 which you remember we had up on this a while back had been sold on and now has some new bits under the hood.

The outside still remains the same besides the fog lights and some extra stickers. I’m a bigger fan of these cars without the fogs. Nice to see its still loved though.

Ive got a soft spot for EF sedans. Nice to see others have love for these cars also. This one was looking good but the spoom wheels should definitely be replaced.

Even though these xxr 501’s are getting very popular, they looked just about right under this EF.

This dc2 looked so damn clean. The C-west front bumper didn’t look out of place and neither did those ce28’s.

This little eg6 looked so good. The Enkei J speed’s were perfect for this car. Most of the time EG’s just need the right wheels to look good.

Was definitely enjoying this DC2. Shame about the rotas with Spoon brakes. Don’t get me wrong, the look good but having real brakes and Fake Desmond’s is abit of a shame. If you can get your hard on some real Desmond Regamasters, this dc2 would be happy.

I was enjoying this EG. The XXr’s could do with a tiny bit better of a fitment and that’s all this thing needs. I wonder if some of those stickers were taken off something because most of those companies on the bumper are either closed down or have a new logo! Still loving it. Its nice to see people try something different.

An unusual sight for Ireland. It was cool to see the first proper EG drag car at the show.

The Honda Game is definitely being stepped up more and more. Dariusz’s Da6 XSi is a prime example of clean.

Same goes for Darren’s Da. It was only a matter of time before the USDM style hit out shores.

While everyone is going around talking JDM, this thing is already screaming USDM. Check that engine bay. No woner it won, yes you guessed it, best engine bay.
