This country is incredible at surprising us.  I remember the first time I seen this Laurel, probably the first time I had ever seen a Laurel… it was dark down at the infamous port road,ill never forget the angry of this screaming monster sliding sideways up the road. There was just something so enjoyable about such a huge machine going sideways four deep. It just looks badass, the presence was insane.

The Car Modify wonder kit really transforms this beast into a gigantic block of fantastic. Its a very simple kit that compliments the blocky shape of the car, it almost makes the car look even bigger, almost throwing the whole look of the car back into the 80s. Japan was really onto a good thing when it was putting out big square cars like this and the chaser, or the crown, cars just dont look as powerful anymore.

I almost love the little cracks and stories this car has. Trust me this c35 gets used pretty hard,  the little scuffs remind me of a rip in an extremely expensive suit. Down the line the owner wants to freshen the whole car up but for now trusty zip ties will have to do their job.

I love the interior, its all wooden trimmed. Wesley has added a Nardi wheel along with HKS turbo timer and a Nimso gear knob.

This model was a Club S 25 model which came with an automatic transmission and an RB25 as the standard setup. What now lies in its place a little bit more interesting.

Ah yes! The original RB25DE was ripped out and replaced with an angry RB26 lump our of a GTR… This is where things get a little bit more interesting.

The Rb26 power is controlled by an Apexi power FC D-Jetro ECU. Inside lurks  wossner 86.5mm pistons, pec rodsand  ACL race bearings. A cosworth steel head gasket replaces the oroginal.  The block has been bored and surfaced along with the head, the crank has been mchined to fit an upgraded crank collar. The crank was then sent to be polishedand the head was modded for better oil return. The RB was mated to a Precision 5858 turbo, 6 branch manifold, 46mm waste gate, 850cc precision injectors and a HKS mushroom air filter. Controlled by a  Blitz type r boost controller, and an uprated fuel pressure regulator. A HKS front mount intercooler provides enough cool flow.

The entire heart is sent to and RB25 Manual gearbox via a twin plate Orc clutch served with a side order of Cusco 2 way. The entire air conditioning unit has been completely removed and the  wiring for both inside and outside the car has been redone.

The wheels are another treat on this C35, today there is so much of the same thing on cars its always hard to find something obscure that usually isn’t horrible. Wesley managed to get a set of Piaa L’uomo 19 inch 3 piece wheels that are coming in at 9.5j front and 10.5 J rear. That relationship between the back arch and the wheel is fantastic. These wheels are pretty damn rare and this is the only set really known of in Ireland so its always nice when you can managed to come across something that really distinguishes the cars appearance.

Its amazing that cars like this can pop up from time to time and release the inner nonsense inside.  This Laurel is a complete monster camouflaged in a three piece suit.  The exterior is VIP, smart enough to completely catch you off guard when parked. What makes this car even more ignorant is the 3.5 straight through which comes straight from the manifold, the RB sounds so angry once the Laurel gets going, its like the Hulk trying to break out.  This is one incredibly fast, incredibly ignorant piece of four door luxury, and we love every bit of it.
