Meets: RS Owners club 2012

We decided to take a trip down to the annual ford mmet in Bolands New Ross, being from Ireland the if you dont know already, the ford scene has always been around and pretty much always huge due to the massive rally following that exists. Sometimes we take some of these very impressive cars for granted so with that in mind we headed down to check it out, and obviously the line up didnt dissapoint, like this mint 96 Escort RS Cosworth.

Its amazing that cars like this little MK1 fiesta was everywhere before the scrap page scheme, cars like this bring back fond memories for people asd pretty much everyone has been in one or possibly owned one back in the 80s/90s.

Pretty awesome to see such a mint MK3 Xr3 Escort.

YOu would forget that cars like this exist around Ireland as the owners these days usually don’t revolve around the more immediate car scene. Always will be one of the best Fords ever produced.

An original Waterford Reg Cosworth that was fully restored recenetly sitting on some rather fitting Compomotive MO 1890.

Another Mk3, but this time a very fresh looking series 1 RS

Many of the engine bays were incredible. Being primarily around the Jap scene, one would almost forget how incredible some of these Ford builds are.

That bay belongs to this awesome Sierra Cosworth, a childhood dream car for many 90’s kids.

This was amazing

This Anglia was once used for Hot Rod racing, such awesome shapes on these cars and the Hot Rod livery looked great, glad to see one not restored to original spec.

Awesome Non liveried rally car, for some reason I was always a fan of blank rally cars, this would make a mental road car.

Love to old Ford colours as seen here on this mint restored 1.3 GL Mk2.

Another awesome Anglia.

Some crazy Tickfords Edition Capri.

LOve the Rs2000 theme here.

Clean and simple, always a big fan of the MK1 RS Focus

Its amazing how big the front end is on the Capri’s.

Kind of scary how far cars have come…

I think we can agree things have advanced for the better, but its still awesome to look back on cars like this model A. You would be Expecting two guys with Tommy guns to come out any second.

Loving this colour and wheel combo.

Rally themed MK1 RS2000

Humble MK1 looking fresh inside the show room.

Tom Geraghty brought the MK2 Rally car, everything about this car is awesome.

Ah yes, tthe pool of drool from staring at this thing was hilarious, I had such a love for these back in the day and it remains strong.

And the best for last, MY cousin Jamies Escorts Cosworth with the full WRC kit, and WRC wheels and engine transplant… more on the beauty soon.
