Event: Heatwave 2011 PT2 - Juiceboxforyou

Event: Heatwave 2011 PT2

Like we were saying in part 1 it really seemed like the standard has suddenly rose for the quality of cars in the country at shows. Looking around you had a good variety of super clean interesting builds like this IS bagged on SSR Vienna’s. What an amazing car, its nice to see people go down the VIP route, something that hasn’t been explored to much yet in Ireland.

Inside the door lurked another Caldina GT, top marks for the wheel choice on this wagon also,t of binging Veilside Andrews. These wagons are awesome and it was so nice to see two at the show.

I’m sure many of you know this engine bay by now, a car that keeps on getting better is this T230 series Celica is by far one of the nicest in the country.

Damn it, I could look at this Celica all day!

Interesting wheel choice for an ST205, a set of Rotiform BLQ style wheels in gold.

Its a wheel style that’s getting quite popular on our shores, but who could complain when you see them under the arches of cars like this B7 Audi A4.

In the last two years Audi’s have really started to become quite as common as many of the Japanese cars especially the felt look, its nice to see someone break the mold like this example above slammed to the ground on a set of Rota Grid’s done right.  What an evil looking car.

This 350z has all the right components to be even better then it already looked, it was sitting a little bit too high and in that black with those wheels this Datsun would look incredible if it was sitting that little bit Moar Low.

Holy shit comes to mind here! Too good.

One in the stinky two in the pinky!

Such a sick A3 Many of the euro guys really have the car fashion dialed….

Yes this is nice.

Heatwave 2004

This MK3 Capri was awesome, for got it so right back in 1978 in the UK.

The MK5 golf was on display in quite a few different styles. This black beast was sporting some BB LM’s with gold spokes and was definitely hitting the spot.

Or how about this one, loving the almost LA Lakers style theme with the purple and yellow.

This one was hitting the spot nicely sitting comfortably low on a set of Mam MT1′s. Yum

Behind the Golf was this beautiful little EG.From the colour to the orange indicators it all just worked.

I guess  have to admit this Starlet was funky, it wouldn’t be my cup of Juice but it had that feeling like it belonged in an art museum.

This 300zx with the Veilside front looked like it came straight out of Tokyo Auto Salon 1997…. Crazy Filler and fabrication work, its crazy how quick things have changed.

Bride spark plug cover!

Always nice to see Darren reinventing the Da6 we recently featured, be sure to check out MIJ this month where it made the cover.

Nice to see at least one AE111 on display, these have so much potential.

The VW Bug looks like a whole different car when its sitting on Bags and BBS.

The Eyelids almost make this thing look like its about to speak!

Tom from Titan’s Slammed and stanced JZX100 wearing some tasty CRKai’s from your friend Work. Check those back arches!

Outside in the car park there was plenty to watch if you needed a break from looking at cars… well not really. Martin Ffrenches old Altezza was killing tires faster then the guy on the bike could do rings, what an immense car.

I dare you not to smile at this!

Lots of girls doing what they do best but on stage is never a bad thing!

But because your so die hard about cars that all the photos we have of that. Instead you will have to switch off the lights and play with yourself to one of the Nicest E46’s in the country.

Check the bug eye we featured awhile back, now wearing some Work Equip replicas from Rota.

This s2000 was looking amazing, shame we couldn’t get any close but that Mugen front lip was good enough for now.

Minty freshness.

Its insane what a set of wheels can do to enhance the shape of a Leon.

Why hello there, the Mugen replica spoiler still looks awesome on this DC5.

This was one of the only EP3’s around on the day but it made up for all the ones that were a no show. These can look so good and this yellow example made me remember why.

I kept coming back for a second look to quite a few of the cars which were on display, the level really had risen on the floor of heatwave. This EP91 was on of those cars, the build is just insane.

Such an impressive car, by far one of the most amazing Glanza builds in Ireland. Nice to see the country continuing to raise the bar time and time again.

Cant wait to see what Japfest 2011 holds, be sure to check back for more features and coverage coming real soon.

it really seems like you lads dont understand the meaning of Modified, every car you like has little or no mods done to it , and the people that push the envelope and develop a truly nice car with a lot of work and money spent on it you just dont like, I think if anyone wants to impress you fools they just need to buy a grand new honda put a set of bbs wheels on it and lower it and they are done , It really seems to me you have all lost your sense of imagination and style ,

Everyone is now following the herd like stupid dumbed down sheep, No one has any individual style anymore, that audi wht the rotas was basically bought standard then he put wheels on it and hydraulics and that was it the paint is factory ,I hate the fact that the world of modified cars seems to be holding its breath at the track car look , cars on the ground with nice wheels and nothing else done just washed and waxed, Where have the people gone that truly loved modifiying cars changing every details on them to give it the unique look that separates them from everyone else, You say you liked the yellow ep3 which was factory bought with the factory kit and a new set of wheels and a back box, how lazy have we become as a generation of modifed car enthusiasts,

It seems people are more toned to spend 2 grand on an engine part that no one will ever see rather than invest in the exterior of the car which makes it unique and beautiful to you in your owns eyes,Looked at pics from a meet not to long ago and every car had the same style wheels and carbon lips , nothing actually modifed on the car itself, I have been in this world for a long time well before the whole fast and furious craze and each car ive had had its own sense of personality about it it was different from any other car , and now the world has gone down hill and back to the basics of a car , some JDM styles like Darrens Teg are nice and a lot of work has gone into the engine bay and the handling charastics of the car and the body is very clean and I do like it but thats one of a handful of truly stand out carslike the brown starlet and the white starlet, if you want more pics why dont you just go down to a honda dealer and take pics of all the second hand cars and just photo shop wheels onto them , itd save you a lot of time , as you seem to be only interested in cars that have very little done to them , this is my opinion and Im not trying to start a fight im just pointing out the fact that we all seem to have lost all our sense of individuality ,

Are you having a laugh with your bad as fuck car? Things have changed for the better and its the same reason many other people have jumped on the “bandwagon” things look cleaner, there is no need to reinvent the wheel with your car, just add to it and make it better. Look at Japanese and German styling which has lasted about 20-30 years. madness

  • admin says:

whoops, I meant ep91, thats what happens when you rush things I guess!

  • Dan T says:

i do like jdm styling but not enough people are making there own style using jdm bits and hence a lot of cars are startin to look the same thats not what its about however

i too miss the days of a PROPERLY executed what would now be called “max power” cars and i cant emphasise properly enough ,for example the buddy club kit on an ek civic as seen here http://www.andysautosport.com/images/buddy_club/budd_bc06-ckek9.jpg its unique but not big an ugly at the same time

i also like the wings west kit apart from the nasty spoiler ,also i f**king hate people using the kingdom developments kit on every sort of a car when it was designed for a nova and a nova only
rant over anyways on the topic it looked like a good show im lovin that brown glanza nice pics lads

  • dunne says:

@gary – seriously? rant much? calm down and go outside or something, that yellow ep3 that came factory like that?…..that was fully resprayed from silver, you seem to be stepping on toes alot, and you dont seem to know the background to alot of the cars either, the site is the personal opinions of an individual, if you dont like it then tough, people are entitled to there opinion.

  • Gary says:

As I said in the last line wasnt trying to start a fight just pointing out that the car scene has really gone back to basics, the flush and dub style have been around for years but the work on the old dub and flush styles was monumental compared to today , how many cars at that show simply had lowering spings and wheels and nothing else,

To call a car modifed id say you have to change the way the car looks , obviously my own opinion ,

@Keith , my car has changed every year since ive had it I try out different styles and change all teh stuff on teh car most years, that was just an out there style for the Cool Nights show , my car has a much cleaner flush look to it now with not a sticker in sight on it , and the lambo hinges have been in my shed for years so i just put em on to see how they looked il prob take em off eventually,

I just cant understand a site publically slating a car , doesnt say much for the people running the site, yes individual comments are fine they provoke emotino and discussion , but a public site publically slating cars is a big mistake in my eyes , And your slating my car without showing any pics of your car , very brave I have to say , Im not going to let personal comments interfere with my own style but we all have to admit a lot of people are follwoing the same trend all the time which can make the shows boring, Im not on about cruises or meets or track days Im referring to SHOWS , a show car turns heads and suprises people and makes them want to go over to the car I had people at my car all day at heatwave getting pics with it cos its very out there,

So Im not on a mad one here at anybody simply provoking discussion on the car scene of late which seems in my eyes to be going towards road going track cars, ???
