What the Fuck Wednesday: The JZX100 Taxi

Everyone knows just how boring motorways can be when your trying to get from A to B, its the same thing over and over with no real entertainment. This JZX100 taxi yeah that’s right, a Toyota Chaser JZX100 was cruising just up ahead but something looked a small bit out of place so we decided to catch up and really couldn’t believe what we were seeing!

The driver was a little confused as to  why we cared so much about his “taxi” as I smiled and laughed taking photos at probably one of the most bad ass Toyota Taxis you could ever own. Not your everyday sight!

I’m sure its auto but it would be nice to imagine if its rocking a 1jz and some other funky goodies. One can only picture getting collected in this from a night out on the town! Just picture being the driver and giving your passengers a scare on the way home! Just some of the things I love about Ireland, you never know what lurks on our roads.

    I’m pretty sure I’ve been in that after a skinful of drink, and bored the ears of the driver talking endlessly about 1JZs and Chasers & Supras.

    I don’t think he had a clue what it was to be honest.

    (Oh and it is auto)

    They also come with a 1G-FE, 1JZ-FSE and 1JZ-GE… so chances are its a boring old 1G-FE GX100 (as it lacks the Tourer badges) and has delightfully comfortable interior being the Avante (luxury spec) model…

    Just a RWD camry really ;)

    Yea theres a jzx90 mark 2 banging around dublin as a taxi, pulled up beside it one day and a celica gt4 pulled up behind it, considered it a sign to get meself a toyota

    That’s some nice spotting. I’m sure the mighty 1J would make even the most boring taxi drive interesting.

    We use JZX100s as taxis in my country. See these everyday
