What the Fuck Wednesday: 200 M.P.H.

Usually we wouldn’t go ahead and do some sort of a movie review on this website, Wednesday Is usually dedicated to highlighting some of Ireland finer car’s or something to that effect, but this week we just had to talk about 200 MPH the movie. Now I’m sure many of you are like what the fuck? Or maybe your not, either way we have to talk about this film. When fast five came out, everyone was all talk for Vin diesel and The Rock fucking shit up. But holy shit are you in for a treat with this film 200mph movie. You have to read on for more goodness….

So once I heard about this film I was curious, I google’d it and this came up. Some shitter spec focus on dodgy rims with a leg. The cover has “some limits should never be crossed” on it which I guess is supposed to mean something about this film….

Even the trailer would almost sell the film, Good Job to the editor, they even got the “film voice” to make it seem a little more interesting… After watching this I knew I had to get this film. I managed to get it from the magical place of magic known as the inter web got some food, sat down and hyped myself up for something special.

So it more or less opens with the title 200 mph, showing some dodgy racing on a multi-story where no one is actually going 200mph. It has the whole fast and the furious one vibe to it, and it actually looked promising…. sort of for a few minutes.

It cuts to this clip of some guy working on his white FC on orange Enkei’s all stanced up and looking more then good for a car film. I was sold, I really was like “shit, they managed to find nice cars for a film this is cool” and then this 370z rolled up and I said the same thing again, I was sold into the whole stance thing. Both cars looked amazing. Would this film be good? Once the guys brother got out of the 370z and started talking shit about how its a brand new car he got from the dealership I started to doubt this whole situation. My hopes and dreams of this being a good film were quickly starting to change when they started making up specs for the car like some sort of learned off school poem.

When this fucking shitter rolled onto the screen you kind of wonder to yourself what the fuck is going on, surely to God they could have borrowed some sort of decent bike like a GSX-R to accommodate the hot girlfriend, not some dodgy I’m off to work bike that 170% doesn’t suit this chick or the film.

Especially when shes a stripper in the film and looks like this? What the fuck was going on…

There is some bullshit in between this scene, but I started to get excited again when the FC was sliding through the streets of LA at night. Things were almost looking up,

That was until the brother races some fucker in a skyline and flips his 370z with the worst CGI graphics I have ever seen, not only that but then car turns magically into a 350z in the process….

So a whole bunch of other shit happens and they call the car an mx7 then a fucking mx5 then they eventually get around to calling it an rx7, but judging by this photo realistic sketch, it could have been any of the three, my money was on the mx7….. Wait a second what the fuck did they call it? How could you get the name of the car wrong that many times in a film? Why didnt anyone standing around tell them there is no Mazda MX7 anywhere in this movie. A film that is supposed to be about cars and made for people who would have an interest in cars? How can you be that retarded, and what the fuck is with these drawings. My 7 year old brother can draw a better sketch then this dodgy shit.

So that drawing turns into Justin Pawlak’s Rx7, we never see the build montage that they hype up and you can tell that every single car was borrowed and that these fuckers have no idea whats going on, they just like to wear fingerless gloves instead. When they eventually take the car for a test drive to try and push this 200mph shit the film is about they get chased by one cop and for no reason a helicopter.

Wow this CGI is so good, you would almost be fooled into thinking it was real. No you wouldn’t, its fucking horrid and looks like a something from the intro video of Driver 1 for the PlayStation.

I pretty much knew that this film was going to be fucking hilarious from then on and wasnt getting any better when Justin Pawlaks RX7 turns into an s14a which has been masked in some sort of dodgy CGI to make it look somewhat like the green rx7 for the drift scenes. I think that the RX7 was stolen around this time and the s14 had to be used, but I could be wrong. I’m just trying to make sense of how you could get a car that wrong for stunts and expect no one to notice. Obviously even people who have Zero interest in cars could spot the difference, I watched this with my girlfriend who would have a hard time spotting an ford fiesta from a civic but she could spot the two cars in about a second.

So I accidentally found this video of pretty much a good portion of the shit in the film that is hilarious, but you have to enjoy this film with a bunch of friends because you are in for a What the fuck of a time. Aside from the nice cars, this film is horrible, but maybe that what makes it that bit more entertaining to watch….. There is just too many good parts to talk about, this video should be more then enough to get a feel for this film…..
