Car spotting: Dayos Altezza (with added video)

These days in Ireland Altezzas are as common as piss. There are so many around that have the same look. Not a lot of people have ventured into trying to do something different.

Dayo decided to try something different. Its true whether people want to debate it or not that wheels make or break a car. You can have the most serious bits and goodies in your car but at the end of the day people judge everything by its cover. And by its cover is its exterior. One glance at this car and you know it looks good.

This Altezza has the same Trd kit that many others but this one just looks perfect on the car. Im a big fan of this TRD spoiler which gives a more sleek look to the shape of the rear of the car. The kit itself isn’t too crazy and flows with the shape of the car and then the wheels finish it off because these they give the car a seriously cool stance.

The Ultralite GT-II 18″ wheels compliment the Toyota white pearl respray and a Genuine TRD exhaust can be seen poking out the rear.  This car as many have said looks amazing now and get a lot of looks from people because not too many have ventured down the stance path yet in Ireland. Huge in America and Japan but here the roads are bad and I guess people are afraid.

I definitely see it as a big trend in the near future, or at least hope it becomes one. The main reason is because it can make anything look good. The right wheels and the the right stance on any car can change its whole appearance.

The wheels really turn heads with this car. You can see from the pictures how the entire look of the Toyota has changed as the wheels and stance with the clean kit and minimal look makes this car really pop.

Dayo has added some subtle stickers that compliment the tinted headlights which house a 8000k hid kit. He has also darkened the rear lights and added some led boot lights.

I really think that the wheels work with this car. Its a fine example of a clean Altezza. You would be surprised that this car has been left stock engine wise. The car was bought with the intention of being a daily driver which is exactly what it does. It performs this task looking A++ haha.

The car has been lowered on 60mm springs. It managed to suit the wheels perfectly. There was no intention of going crazy with proper kits to get an insane stance. Dayo has said hes saving that for a bigger project. The reason why I really wanted to have this car on the site is to show that you can achieve such a beautiful look without going overboard.

It will be interesting to see what he does when genuine effort is put in. But for now I’m glad to see this car cruising around showing how it can be done. There are a few cars that are at this type of wheel stance in the country and its exciting to see it kick off. There seems to be others going the stance route here and there and I cant wait to see what other people try. I just hope it grows because it works so well and with the right wheels you can compliment any car.

Poke out them wheels and stretch them tires. It looks good. Its one thing alot of people who build a car miss out on. Im not saying it is the only way to stick wheels on a car but it definitely is one of the cleanest and most visually pleasing way you can achieve a nice look. Dayos Altezza isn’t an insane type of stance because this was just something he wanted to try out. I’m sure he will go for something crazy for sure in the near future and I really hope to see others following the stance craze because it can bring nothing but cool nice cars.  This is certainly a clean example of how an Altezza can stick out so much by just choosing the right wheels and right stance topped with a clean kit. Now enjoy this little video we made of the car rolling on an average wet Irish night!
